I feel like I learned a lot by looking at both the Tips for Better Photography page and this America Abandoned gallery. I had never even heard of the rule of thirds before today and if I’m being honest, I’m still not entirely sure how it works. I really enjoyed this picture of a broken down piano in front of a completely devastated room from the gallery. I feel like it perfectly shows off one of the rules from the Tips for Better Photography page: Put a Great Foreground in Front of a Great Background. The image of a broken down piano transforms the normally sad looking room into one of beauty and mystery.
I ended up taking 10 pictures during my Photoblitz, not including the pictures of my clock at the beginning and the end. I may have accidentally repeated one of the prompts a couple of times but I’m pretty happy with how the pictures came out, I even tried out some filters on them!
